Welcome to your home...we are reopening our doors with some new measures to ensure that you, our team and our animals are safe at all times.

From the 1st of August you will be able to feel again the hug of nature. You just have to let yourself go, we do the rest.

Some little things change, and you must know them, but basically it's all good news!

Here is all the information you need to know before your visit:

 

What will I be able to see?

You will be able to enjoy the open air again, walking through a space of more than 780,000 square meters surrounded by nature.

You have at your disposal a whole new website to buy your tickets online. Tickets can be bought at the main entrance, but we recommend that you do it online to guarantee the capacity and access in an easier way. In addition, you can get tickets with a 20% discount.

If you have the Oasis Pass you have an exclusive appointment, with a guided tour, on the 30th and 31st of July. Please contact our Reservations department if you would like to attend or if you would like to request your card. The rest of the days, you will be able to enter as usual with your pass without the need for an appointment or an entry reservation.

All the facilities are open, except for the areas that may be under renovation.

The Camel Safari will be operational. Our camel rides and the visit to the camel farm is active, with different schedules.

You will also be able to help give the giraffes their daily snack from the view of the African Savannah.

The educational exhibition of reptiles and sea lions is held normally.

You will be able to enjoy the restaurants, with the best dishes of the local gastronomy, but you will also have the picnic areas if you want a quick snack.

We still offer free transport from different points on the island.

And the agro-artisanal market is held every Sunday.

 

What's new about this "new normality"?

I will have to respect the security measures marked during the tour, but the experience will be just as exciting. Wearing a mask will not prevent us from seeing your smile.

For the time being, interactions with lemurs and sea lions will not be possible. They will soon be active again.  We will keep you informed.

The exhibitions of Birds Live and Parrots Live will depend on the conditions of each day.

Maps and information will be provided to you through BIDI codes or through the center's posters. Reducing the use of paper benefits us all.

Tickets and reservations

How many people can visit the zoo each day?

The capacity is limited to 1000 people per day.

Can I buy tickets online now?

Yes, currently we have enabled the online sale of tickets for the rest of the year 2020. You only have to access to our online sale page and make your purchase of tickets and other products on a regular basis.

Is it possible to buy tickets at the box office?

As we have limited capacity and for health and safety reasons, we will only deal with extraordinary cases at the ticket office, such as promotions that cannot be purchased online, people who do not have access to the Internet or similar. Therefore, we recommend buying your tickets through our website, which also offers a 20% discount.

Is there still free transport to the centre?

Yes, the transport is still 100% free for visitors to Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura, in the section on how to get there are stops and different timetables available.


Safety is our priority

Does the center have a security protocol?

Our Health and Safety Department has reviewed and validated the reopening plans, ensuring that we are suitable and comply with the requirements of the reference legislation on COVID-19 that are applicable as well as the protocols of the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality.

 

My responsibilities as a visitor

Are gloves and masks mandatory?

The use of masks is compulsory in closed areas of the centre, in those open spaces where the safety distance between people is ensured will not be compulsory, except by order of our safety team.

Do I have to maintain social distance?

It is compulsory to maintain a distance of one and a half metres.

Are the children's play and picnic areas open?

Yes, you can bring food to the park, which you can consume in our picnic areas. The playground is available and safe for the interaction of the little ones.

Is there a risk of catching the Covid from animals?

There is increasing evidence that humans can transmit the new coronavirus to other animals. However, there is no evidence that animals can become a vehicle of transmission and infect other people by themselves. It is best to simply wash your hands after touching the animals.

 

What can I see at the zoo?

Do they still keep the educational exhibits?

Yes, but they will be held with limited capacity and following strict rules of separation and safety between groups.

And the interactions?

Yes, but they will be carried out with limited capacity and following strict rules of separation and safety between groups and persons. The interaction between Sea Lion and Lemurs is currently suspended until further notice. The Camel Experience is available.

Can I give the giraffes their snack?

Yes, as long as you respect the rules indicated by the staff, signs and indications at the interaction points.

Will the Ecotour be available?

Yes, the social distance will be controlled with selected seats.

Can I rent cars and scooters?

Yes, they will be disinfected every day to ensure safety.

Is the zoo shop open?

Yes, we will have shops open in the park. Our employees will control the capacity and access of visitors, who must wear a mask. For reasons of hygiene and security, we recommend payment by card instead of cash.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes, we will have cash available.

 

Restoration areas

Are they open?

Yes, we will have open restoration points in the park. To guarantee the safety of our visitors and employees, we have installed methacrylate screens at the checkouts, dispensers at the entrance and delimited the waiting areas. For reasons of hygiene and security, we recommend payment by card instead of cash.

Can I bring food to the zoo?

Yes, you can bring food to the park, which you can consume in our picnic areas.
